Please write a product description for George III Serving Tongs. Unusual scissor grip serving tongs with narrow reeded blades, hallmarked on the handles. Two crests on each side of the hinge surfaces, one depicting a lion and the other a dragon’s head and an angel.
Very good condition with good hallmarks – a collector’s item !. The product weighs 178g. The product was made by Samuel Whitford. It was made in 1816 which falls in the 1760 – 1819 (George III) period. The product features lion/dragon/angel engravings. The product origin is London.
