This caster is made by one of the premier specialist makers of casters, Samuel Wood who worked between 1733 to 1746.
It is in lovely condition and is 12.5cm high.

it is a pear-shaped baluster with spreading base. Hallmarks are very clear on the underside of the piece.
The pierced cover fits tightly with a sleeve inside the cover.
